Video Contest for Young Justice Seekers

Feb 01, 2012 | By Shannon Hughes

NETWORK and NETWORK Education Program (NEP) are excited to announce the Mind the Gap! contest for young justice seekers. If you Mind the Gap! and are between 18 and 25 - or know someone else who fits this criteria – start thinking about why this gap really matters. Create a short video (5 minutes or less) demonstrating why wealth disparity in the United States is an issue for all of us, and you could win a trip to DC to showcase your video at NETWORK’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.

While the submission is a video, your project could be anything – want to write a song, or cover your street with sidewalk chalk? – just make sure to get some footage and explain how you shared why you mind the gap. Finalists’ videos will be shared with thousands of NETWORK members and e-activists, and one winner will be invited to present her or his video at the NETWORK 40th Anniversary Celebration in Washington, DC, and receive the Young Justice Seeker Award.

Submissions will be accepted from January 1 to March 1, 2012. Click here for full terms and conditions, as well as the official submission form. We can't wait to hear why YOU think we ought to Mind the Gap!
