Teach-in on taxes, using NETWORK's new curriculum We the Taxpayers
When: Friday, October 4 8:00am-9:30am
Where: River's Edge: A Place for Reflection and Action (A ministry of the Congregation of St. Joseph) 3430 Rocky River Drive Cleveland, Ohio 44111
What: Join NETWORK for a teach-in on taxes over breakfast. You'll be the first to access NETWORK's newest curriculum We the Taxpayers and NETWORK staff will equip you to use it in your community. Catholic Sisters of the Nuns on the Bus have said: "It is time to frame the budget debate in terms of moral choices that are understandable to the American people." NETWORK's new curriculum We the Taxpayers will empower you to better understand and equip others to transform our national conversation about public budgets so that they reflect our faith values.
Cost: Free to you, and your breakfast will be NETWORK's treat, too!

Sneak preview screening of Inequality for All
When: Thursday, October 3 at 7:00pm ET. The film is 90 minutes long and will be followed by a short discussion.
Where: Cedar Lee movie theater - 2163 Lee Rd, Cleveland Heights
What: Get a sneak preview of new Robert Reich documentary Inequality for All (the day before the official Cleveland release date). Then, join NETWORK staff, along with representatives from the United Church of Christ Economic Justice Ministry and the AFL-CIO, for a post-film discussion.
Cost: NETWORK suggests a contribution of $8.00 per ticket, which is what it cost us to pre-purchase them. Of course, we would welcome additional contributions, and likewise we would not turn away those who are unable to pay.
